ABOUT US
I'm Jarrod Brant — project manager by trade, trainer by necessity, and the guy who usually ends up fixing things no one else wants to touch.
I’ve been managing construction projects for over a decade, leading crews, training PMs, and keeping homeowners calm while walls come down around them (literally and emotionally). At this point, I’ve dealt with just about every surprise a jobsite can throw at you — from missing materials to disappearing subcontractors, city inspectors on a power trip, and everything in between.
This blog started as a place to get the constant stream of jobsite chaos and real-world solutions out of my head and onto paper. I’m not here to preach some perfect system. I’m here to share what’s worked for me, the tools I use, the mistakes I’ve made, the wins I’ve earned, and the lessons that hit harder than they should’ve. Sometimes I’ll break down an actual email I sent to fix a mess. Other times I’ll walk through a project I wish I could do over.
If you're a project manager, a contractor, or just someone who wants to survive a renovation without losing your sanity, you’ll find something useful here.
Thanks for being here. Hopefully something I’ve learned the hard way can make your work a little easier.
Ready to See How This Plays Out in the Real World?
The jobsite doesn't care how well your spreadsheet is formatted. Schedules get wrecked. Crews disappear. Inspectors change their minds. Clients change their minds twice.
If you're here to see how a real PM keeps it together — or at least tries to — you're in the right place.
